How to get a document attested or legalised
Step 1: Complete Online Form
Complete our easy and mobile-friendly online order form including:
- Where you are located
- Which country you need your documents for
- What are the services you require (Embassy or Consulate Attestation or DFAT Legalisation (Apostille or Authentication) and/or Document Notarisation)
- Types of documents you have
Step 2: Upload ID & Documents
Securely upload your ID and documents required to our online portal from your computer or mobile phone.
For example, if you need an Australian Birth Certificate notarised and legalised by DFAT, please upload a scanned copy of the original Certificate.
If your original document is available in electronic format, please provide a link to the electronic format issued by the issuing authority.
In some cases, you may need to send us your original documents by post (e.g. Birth or Marriage Certificate).
Step 3: Your Order is Processed
We’ll handle the entire process of document notarisation, DFAT legalisation (Apostille or Authentication) and/or Embassy/Consulate attestation, including providing you with regular progress updates:
- We verify, notarise and seal your document with an official Notarial Certificate.
- We submit your sealed document for DFAT Document Legalisation (Apostille & Authentication) and Embassy or Consulate Attestation.
- Your notarised, DFAT legalised and Embassy/Consulate attested documents forwarded to your nominated address via Express Post (no charge within Australia) or DHL (additional charges apply).
